The German Lotto and Totoblock is the combination of the Lotto companies of the Lands of the Federal Republic. With the help of the block for example uniform ratios for completely Germany are regulated.

To the products of the societies belong for example Lotto, ODDSET, luck spiral and Toto.

History

Began it with the Totoblock 1948. Beginning of the 1950er years formed with the north south block (Berlin, Bremen, Hamburg, Schleswig-Holstein, Lower Saxony and Bavaria) and the southwest block (North Rhine-Westphalia, Hessen, Baden-Wuerttemberg and Rhineland-Palatinate) two blocks, which joined themselves on 11 November 1956 to the German Totoblock.

Lotto "“6 from 49"” began on 9 October 1955 in the countries Hamburg, North Rhine-Westphalia, Schleswig-Holstein and Bavaria. The other countries were added gradually: Bremen starting from that 13. May 1956, Lower Saxony starting from 10 June 1956, Hessen starting from 2 September 1956, Rhineland-Palatinate starting from 2 December 1956, Saarland starting from 6 January 1957, Baden-Wuerttemberg starting from 13 April 1958, Berlin starting from 4 October 1959. Thus the Lotto part developed.

The first block contract came into force on 1 October 1962 and regulated among other things the drawing of the profit numbers and the Poolung of the conversions and profits, in order to be able to determine uniform ratios.

On 1 July 1974 Toto and Lotto were united to the German Toto Lottoblock.

The new Lands of the Federal Republic followed then 1992.

2004 amounted to the conversion of the enterprises 8.4 billion euro.
