Paroli play one generally calls the increase of the employment after a profit in a gambling - contrary to the Martingale play, in which the employment is increased after a loss. The term comes from the Pharospiel, an old map luck play, from it leads itself the phrase "someone Paroli offers" off.
In Meyers encyclopedia of 1908 is explained as follows the term:
"Paroli (splinter), in the Pharospiel name for a map, which is designated by the owner, after it won, by upward bending of a corner, what suggest that he does without the collection of the profit provisionally, the same rather with the original sentence together risks. If the Paroli wins, then the player receives the three-way of the original sentence from the bank. Of it the proverbial phrase: someone a Paroli bend (also offer), someone plans by unexpected measures defeat."
With Roulette the announcement Paroli means that the Croupier is to again set the profit Jetons apart from the original employment on the same chance. Thereby if the permissible maximum employment should be exceeded, the surplus sentence is rejected, and the player must communicate to the Croupier, how these Jetons are to be platzieren.
Repeated Paroli
Sept et le va
If the Paroli won, then the Pointeur can offer to Paroli again. In the Pharospiel he does this with the announcement to "Sept et le va". If it recovers, then it receives to filter subject of its original sentence.
Quinze et le va
If the player wins the Sept et le va, then he can offer again Paroli and receives now, if he wins, to fifteen-subject of the original sentence.
