Selection of the correct standard bet

Although at first sight all standard bets have to each other a balanced employment profit relationship, there are differences on the second view:

  • With bets on individual numbers (polarize in) in case of a profit it is expected that the winner leaves the gaming house employee a simple employment with the Plein and/or a half simple employment with bets on two numbers lying side by side (Cheval) as tip. In the classical play (also: "„Large play "“) is usually collected the tip in a special container at the table, called Tronc. With the automat play (also: "„Small play "“) takes place the Troncabzug in the case of a hit automatically. The profit reduces thereby to the 34-fache of the employment. The employment profit relationship worsens thus for polarize in compared with other standard bets.
  • With bets on simple chances (red, black, straight lines, odd, Manque or passport
) the rule applies to European play aligners (gaming houses, clubs) that with appearance of the 0 (Zero) or the 00 (Doppelzero) the employment is not lost completely in the classical play compared with the standard bets; it is subject to the so-called blockage, with which half of the employment for the following number drawing remains as closed employment on the respective chance and participates in the case of a hit again in full height in the play (or the player lets divide so that he half of the employment without participation in the subsequent drawing gets back and which remains other employment half with the bank). This special arrangement improves the employment profit relationship for simple chances only in the classical play (mechanical of Roulette at croupierbedienten tables), not however in the Automatenroulette (half or fully automatic Computerroulette with or without croupierbedientem boiler), where with appearance of the 0 or the 00 the employment of the player generally flows to the bank.

Regarding the special rule-conditioned conditions the profit loss relationship is thus more favourable in the classical play on simple chances than on all other chances, while this is not in the automat play the case.

Since both in the classical play, and in the automat play of the Troncabzug on Pleintreffern takes place, the expectations of profit are lowest with standard bets in each case with employments on polarize in.

Thus arises,

  • that standard bets are mathematically more unfavorable on polarize in and Chevals than on all other chances.
  • that the participation in the automat play is more unfavorable in each case than in the classical play, due to the there omission of the rule-conditioned mathematical advantages on simple chances.

One should consider this computationally indisputable fact of the mathematical advantage on simple chances in particular also with the combination, which consists to a certain extent of several standard bets, as here the bundling of standard bets on a simple chance (e.g. Manque or passport) can result in a strategy advantage.

Repeated play

With Roulette are recommended a quantity of different strategies, how will continue to proceed in case of a profit or a loss is. By mathematical methods of the probability calculation and with consideration of the employment profit relationship it can be stated clearly that with repeated play also with optimal strategy each player loses money in the long term.

Thus at the most the question remains: "„Which play way leads with repeated play to the smallest "“The probability calculation supplies an answer also here: Many players the well-known progression strategy Martingale, with which a player begins with a basic employment and does not lead in the case of loss so often the employment doubled, until he wins, in the long term not to a profit, but to the smallest loss, if the player stops in time. If the door does not take place in time, this strategy brings however high losses.

The strategy of the doubling with loss does not come up, because on the one hand the employments rise dramatically fast, e.g. amounts to the employment with 10 euro basic employment after the elften loss in consequence 20,480 "€, on the other hand with the play employment upper limits (limit) to already apply, which are reached frequently at the latest after 10 or 11 throws (coups) in consequence and prevent a strategy-conformal far plays. Without these employment upper limits e.g. the strategy a doubling with sufficient (infinitely high) capital in each case to the profit would lead, even if only at height of the initial employment, in the example thus a profit of 10 euro with more than 20,000 euro employment after 11 coups.

Many players underestimate also, as frequently e.g. "„series occur "“from homogeneous results, then amount to for example the probability for the ten times appearance of odd or red 0.07%, i.e. approximately all 1,346 times it comes at a play table to this occurrence. With an average number of 200 coups per day and table and an enterprise of 7 tables thus on the average once per evening. At all the result of each lottery is naturally completely independent of all previous results. One observed in Casinos often that if at a table for example red falls several times one behind the other, on black set many players high sums. Such a behavior does not have any basis in the probability calculation.

"“System plays"” and progressions

With Roulette is well-known no durable profit system, and as already above said, it is even mathematically proven that such a system at a correctly functioning table cannot at all exist - even if "„Roulette researchers so mentioned "“(often play-addicted) believe partly firmly such systems to have developed.

Here some examples of frequently used progressions:

Martingale: It is always set on a color, if one loses sets one always the double: 1, 2, 4, 8, etc.

Supermartingale: With loss the double + 1 pieces are always set: 1, 3, 7, 15, etc.

Progression d'Alembert: Employment increased by a piece with loss, decrease of 1 pieces with profit. Highest profit is reached, as soon as one concerned again at 1 pieces:

1, 2, 3, 4, (profit) 3 (profit) 2 (profit) 1 etc.

Further strategies

Apart from the strategies specified above players until some years ago tried to use structural irregularities of the boiler for itself (play on boiler errors). This was apart from - this very day current - the likewise physically aligned strategies boiler looking and throwing ranges a theoretically durable method to achieve a positive expectancy value to win more thus in the long term than losing.

The theory is that by mechanical inaccuracies of the rotary Rades no evenly distributed random numbers are produced, but some numbers are more frequently drawn than others. If the player of it has knowledge, the employment profit relationship - even if only easy - shifts to its favour. One must assume however gaming houses likewise recognize such inequalities by statistic analyses and from traffic pulls incorrect boilers. Preventing also regularly boiler changes are made, which the player cannot recognize apparently.

Another strategy, the boiler looking in such a way specified, tries to manufacture a relationship between the place, at that the ball into the boiler is given and the later terminator point, thus the possible pulled number. Whether with that the naked human eye actually such a relationship own observation accuracy is to be manufactured or the ball by in the boiler the attached lengthwise and transversestanding obstacles at the boiler wall predictably does not take a terminator point, is disputed. The number of the successful Kesselgucker becomes estimated after press searches world-wide on approx. 40 persons. Most Casinos introduced long appropriate counter measures against Kesselgucker: Other boiler models, early refusals and house prohibitions.

Apart from the boiler looking there is still the likewise physically justified play after throwing ranges. Just like when boiler looking and the play on boiler errors also here at least theoretically a positive expectancy value is possible. Whether there are actually successful throwing range continuous players in practice, is unknown.
