Seven card stud is a Poker variant.

It is played in two different variants: high and high/low.

Expiration of a hand

  • All players set the Ante
  • Each player receives two covers (only admitted to it) and an open map
  • The player with the lowest open map sets the so-called bring in. Credit of two players the same low map is decided after color. (Spades is most highly, heart, Karo, cross lowest)
  • That is the beginning of the first setting round.
  • Each player gets an open map (Fourth Street)
  • Next setting round. The player with the highest open combination begins.
  • Each player gets an open map (Fifth Street)
  • Third setting round. The player with the highest open combination begins.
  • Each player gets an open map (Sixth Street)
  • Fourth setting round. The player with the highest open combination begins.
  • Each player gets a covered map (Seventh Street or also River)
  • Fifth and last setting round.
  • Showdown

Showdown with stud high

The player with the best five-map combination of the seven maps wins the Pott, after the normal order. (see Poker)

Showdown with stud high/low

The Pott is divided between the best High hand and the best Low hand. To the determination the normal sequence applies for the best High hand. The best Low hand is the "worst" five-map hand, which must consist of five different maps to including 8, whereby as is incorporated down and roads and Flushs are not considered. The best Low hand is thus As, 2,3,4,5.
