Two UP is a gambling originating from Australia, it is probably the only Casino play, with which coins are thrown - it is, it with cubes is played (see below).
The play is also called "swy", after the German word "two".
Two UP developed in the time of Australian gold fever into the 1850er years. During the First World War it was among the members of the Australian and new Zealand Army Corps particularly likes, so that it annually at the ANZAC Day, which day of the memory of the landing on Gallipoli on 25 April 1915 is gladly played.
Two UP is played in a circular arena (pit or ring) by approx. 6 meters diameters, on whose outside edge the employments are platziert. The Croupier (Boxer) selects a player and asks it with the call "Come in, cranks! " to step by a recess into the ring.
After the crank, i.e. the player in the arena, and which spectators their employments transacted, it is called "NO more bets, please! "; and it two coins, style-genuinly old pre+decimal Australian pennies, put in two small hollows on one, intended for it, approx. 20 cm are enough for board (Kip), so that with a coin the head, with which other one the number is visible. The crank hurls now the two coins up; these must to be thrown at least one meter highly and be supposed thereby to also turn (English ton spin, therefore also crank) - otherwise the throw is invalid (cash-talk).
Throws
If both coins show the same side, then one calls Heads (head) or Tails (number) the result depending on; if a coin Heads, shows the other Tails then one calls the result Odds (undecided).
Cranks pray
If the crank sets on Heads, then he wins in the relationship 7.5 to 1, if he throws three times Heads, before the first time appears Tails or a consequence of five Odds. Completely similarly one proceeds, if the crank sets on Tails.
The bank advantage amounts to with the bet of the crank 3.403%.
If the crank wins, then he may further-play; if it loses, then it must leave the arena, and the Boxer asks a new player into the ring.
Non crank bets
The spectators can likewise on Heads or on Tails bets; with the bets of the spectators will proceed as follows:
If a spectator sets e.g. on Heads, then he wins in the relationship 1:1, if Heads is thrown, and loses with a throw of Tails. With a throw of Odds provisionally no decision, the employments falls is frozen, until Heads or Tails appears.
If the crank throws however to five times in consequence Odds, then all bets are lost - in this way the gaming house secures itself an advantage of 3,125%.
Each time, if the bets of the spectators are decided, a new round of Non crank begins bets.
Two UP is played also as Two UP dice; in place of coins special cubes are used, which are designated at in each case three sides with the letter H for Heads and at the remaining three sides with a T for Tails. The H 's and T 's are in such a way arranged that - exactly as with a coin - a T faces each H and in reverse.
The moreover Two UP dice exactly the same rules apply as with Two UP, for the play with coins with the cube play.
